Isaiah 52:14 …His appearance was marred more than any man and His form more than the sons of men.

2. There must come a judgment.

Revelation 6:16 - …they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb…

2 Timothy 4:8 In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

3. He must be numbered among sinners.

Isaiah 53:3 He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

Isaiah 53:12 …He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors

4. He must be pierced.

Psalm 22:16 …They pierced my hands and my feet.

Isaiah 53:5   He was pierced through for our transgressions

5. His clothes must be taken.

Psalm 22:18 They divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.

6. He must be mocked.

Psalm 22:7-8 All who see me mock me; … they wag the head, saying, Commit yourself to the Lord; let Him deliver him; let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”

7. He must see His reward.

Isaiah 53:11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; …My Servant, will justify the many…

He is our Substitute.

He is our Salvation.

He is our Sanctifier.

He is our Savior/King
