I. The LORD’s gracious restoration is for Him, us, and others.

Jeremiah 32:41 - The Lord says, “I will rejoice in doing them good…”

Psalm 119:67-68 - “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word.”

Luke 22:32 - Jesus said, “I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and once you have turned back again, strengthen your brothers."

II. The LORD’s saving grace produces Gospel living.

     1. Proclaiming the Lord’s Truth

Galatians 1:10 - “…If I were still seeking to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.”

Faith Sheet

Transformation verse - Jonah 4:2 “…You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness…”

Main Theme
~ The Lord’s (Yahweh’s) grace is best enjoyed as we walk in step with Him
and in ministry to others. (Psalm 105:4 and Mark 10:45)
~ The LORD is a God of restoration and renewal. (Jonah 3:1-3, Hosea 14:4,
    Isaiah 61:7, Joel 2:25-26, Psalm 51:1-12)
~ True repentance and faith in the LORD brings true transformation and a
    missional life. (Jonah 3:4-10, Acts 3:19, 20:24, Matthew 3:1-10, 7:16-17)

#1- Reviewing This Past Sunday
Jonah: Experiencing The LORD’s Grace While Walking with Him
Jonah 3:1-10

1. Read Jonah 3:1-10 and discuss the message with someone.
2. How is your walk with God? Is there anything missing? Ask Him to renew
your heart for Him as needed.
3. There are 14 questions in this book. See if you can find them. This week
ask God to reveal to you someone to ask a piercing question in order to
get God’s message across so he or she can love the LORD.
4. Praise Him and pray using John Piper’s thoughts to guide you: Let's pray
for boldness…awe and wonder, with bowed knees and joy-filled hearts,
confess that Jesus Christ is the LORD of hosts, the only God, the true
Bread from Heaven, the Light of the world, the Way and the Truth, the
Resurrection and the Life, the Savior of the world, the King of kings and
Lord of lords! The day is coming when every knee will bow and every
tongue confess with us that Jesus Christ is YAHWEH to the glory of God
   the Father!”

# 2- Preparing for Next Sunday
Jonah: Experiencing The LORD’s Grace While Taking Time to Grow Up
Jonah 4:1-11

1. READ-Read the passage several times and ask the Lord to reveal
Himself and His truth to you. (Jonah 4:1-11)
2. EXAMINE-Spend some time marking up your Bible. Ask questions like:
What is the meaning of the passage, the main thoughts or points?
3. APPLY-Apply the text to your own life. Ask these type of questions
~What does this text tell me about God?
~What does this text tell me about myself?
~How will I live differently because of what I just read?
~Is there a command for me to obey, a warning to observe, a sin I
must repent of, or something that leads me to give thanks?
4. PRAY-Pray through the passage and your application. Ask God to lead
you to love Him, love others and to be intentional about making disciples
by the power of the Holy Spirit.
