I.  Three essentials for a heart for God and others.
     1. Remember God’s past promises.

Genesis 12:1-2 – “I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

     2. Look to His future promises.

Isaiah 11:10 – “In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.”

     3. Live in His promises right now.

Transformation Verse (March)  Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice!  Philippians 4:4

Main Themes:
~ The Old Testament ends with God commanding His people to remember His past promises, look toward the future promises, focus daily on present promises, and make relationships a priority. It is still the same today.

~ When parents’ hearts, especially fathers’ hearts, are turned toward their children, families will thrive, churches will grow strong, and the Gospel will go out powerfully to all the world.

areas of acceptance, availability, affection, affirmation, and
    accountability.
4. What attitudes or actions need to change in your life for you to

# 2- Preparing for Next Sunday
God’s Glory: Creation
Genesis 1-2

1. Take some time and read Genesis 1-2 with someone.
2. Name as many attributes of God that you can. What are some
of the reasons you enjoy God because of these attributes?
3. Read Hebrews 11:3. Is the calling to believe in God as the
creator in faith a struggle for you? What areas do you question?
4. Read Hebrews 12:14. Do you find it easy to be at peace with
others? What generally causes you to not have peace with
    another person?
5. Pray that God would prepare your heart to enjoy Him as the
