COVID 19 Update

by Church Office on December 11, 2020

Church Family,

MCC will not meet for the in-person gathering on Sunday, December 13th, as Pastor Todd is recovering from COVID along with others from the congregation. There are also many people in quarantine. All in-person gatherings have been suspended for the remainder of December. Lord willing, this will give the staff and some people time to recuperate, pray, and be ready for gathering in person in January.

Pastor Jim from HCC has graciously agreed to record the message from James for this Sunday.  You can view the sermon starting at 9am each Sunday on our Facebook page; or Saturday evening at 5PM on our website (millcreek.org), the MCC App (millcreek cc) and YouTube channel.

A note from Pastor Todd:

“Being now in my third week fighting symptoms of COVID, I have a different perspective on this virus. For many, prolonged fatigue along with other symptoms are common for months after contracting COVID.  I am drained and basically praying continually for strength.  Brokenness and dependence don't always feel good in the moment.  However, I am not without hope no matter what this day or the future brings. Advent season is a call for us to remember the birth of Jesus Christ and that He invaded our world to be with us, He is Immanuel (God with us).

It is because of Him being with us that we can – ‘Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.’    1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Glenna and I would like to thank everyone who has checked in on us, brought us meals, and especially those that are praying for us.  We rejoice in Him and in you.”

Our MCC plans for the next three weeks:

December 13th - Online only.

December 20th- We will present a virtual Christmas service. Families can worship together. There will be a time to light candles. You can use any candles from home or stop by the church office between 9AM-4PM Monday-Friday to pick up candles from MCC. We will have battery operated candles available for the children along with a craft and snack. If you are not able to get out and would like them delivered, please contact the Church office.  (814-835-4673)

December 27th- The three Network pastors will review James 5:13-20 and lead in a time of online community prayer.  Our prayer focus will be on spiritual, emotional and physical health.

We will miss seeing you all and are praying for you!
