What do we do now?
Easter is gone. The resurrection people remain.
Reflecting on this past Sunday, The Lord gave us two ways to live out our lives in Christ as resurrected people from 1 Corinthians 15.
First, become like Him.
1 Corinthians 15:49 says, “Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.”
We are to have such an intimacy with the Lord that we become like Him. Jesus constantly slipped away from the ministry of healing, serving, feeding people and much more, so that He could be with the Father and hear from Him. Let’s make intimacy with Him and becoming like Him a way of life.
Second, we flourish in His work He gave us.
1 Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
We cannot stop what we did not start. What He has started in and through us is a good work of ministry to others. Let’s continue to surrender to Him and ask Him to serve others through us.
This is what we do now. Become like Him and reflect Him to others.
