WinterJam

by Shawn Steiner on April 02, 2019

Last week was really a blur. My body is still recovering (please don't worry, I'm not contagious). Leading up to WinterJam on Sunday, I knew it just wouldn't be wise to be part of the trip this year. What is WinterJam you ask? Well, WinterJam is a concert that's put on all over the country with a whole host of Christian artists. Half the "fun" is waiting in line with the other ten thousand plus people to get into the concert. Ha! We have had some pretty memorable times standing out in the cold, some years better than others.

With all that being said, there was no way I could transition from being quarantined and bed ridden to waiting outside in the cold and staying up until 1 in the morning. But THIS is where I find ENCOURAGEMENT. You see, youth ministry does not happen because of just me. I have many amazing youth leaders and so many parents that jump right in and help where needed. One of my greatest joys is to do Family ministry alongside you; to serve in His kingdom at home, in the church, and our community! I just wanted to say "thank you" one last time to my goofy, kind hearted, and oh, so generous leaders on this WinterJam trip. The time you give to be with teenagers to live out the gospel will truly impact them. I am grateful for you!
