“The only way we are ever going to see the glory of God cover all the earth is when there are people living for the glory of God in all of life.”  Vanderstelt

I. Because we have the gospel, we are missional.

     1. When the gospel is missional, we recognize that the gospel
is the news that God has come into this world. Vs. 14
     2. When the gospel is missional, we see the world differently.
         Vs. 16
     3. When the gospel is missional, we are made new. Vs. 17a
     4. When the gospel is missional, all things are made new.
          a. Live as ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. Vs. 20

II. Why we often lack gospel-centered mission.

     1. We are not compelled to be missional.
         a. Busyness does not equal living on mission.
         b. Laziness and leisure
     2. We do not know how to be on mission.
         a. There is not a magical equation or formula that you need
             to know.
         b. Follow other’s example.
     3. We are unaware that God is present and at work.
         a. When we forget the Spirit’s work in a believer, we
shoulder a mission that is impossible for us.
         b. Don’t force it.
         c. Remember, remember, remember!

III. Our response to a missional gospel.

     1. If you are changed by the gospel, you will proclaim the
         gospel.
         a. Be faithful to proclaim, and the Spirit will do His work.
         1 Peter 2:11-12
    2. Be aware of God’s mission where you are. Ask for the
         Spirit’s guidance and prompting.
         Romans 8:14, Acts 16:6-8
     3. The apostles and elders lived among the people… temple
courts, homes, and wherever the Spirit led them.
         1 Timothy 3:2, 3:7
     4. A missional community displays the gospel to the world.
        Matthew 5:14
