I. It is in prayer that I encounter:
     1. His presence
     2. His perspective
     3. His power
     4. His peace

Matthew 7:7 – “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

John 15:7-8 – “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

John 14:12 Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.”

G. Granger Fleming – “There is such a thing as coming into such a sweet relation to the will of God that we are fused into oneness with it. His will becomes ours, and He gladly sets us free to carry out our own desires - they being His first and then ours.”

Luke 11:1-13

II. Jesus told us to focus on:
     1. God and His glory  1-2
     2. Our dependency and faith  3-4
         i. Being bold and continually asking
         ii. Praying Kingdom prayers
iii. Pursuing forgiveness and Christlikeness together

 #1- Reviewing This Past Sunday
Maturing in Christ: Praying as Jesus Prayed, Part 4
Luke 11:1-13

1. Read Luke 11:1-13. What are some key truths in this text?
2. Discuss Sunday’s message with someone and use the text to
    pray.
3. Who could benefit from you praying with him or her on a
regular basis? Reach out and ask the person to start praying
with you once a week, once a day, or however God leads.
4. Consider using prayer cards for one month and see how God
    works.
