God’s Story: Creation
Genesis 1-2
God
1. God is the main character.
2. He is eternal.
3. God is triune.
4. He is a talking God.
5. He is the creator of everything.
6. He is the King and Sovereign Ruler.
7. He is the holy and righteous Judge of every created thing.
8. He is a God full of love, compassion, mercy, and goodness.
9. God is holy.
10. God is unchanging.
Creation
1. The Universe: The vastness of God’s Creation.
2. The Earth: The majesty of God’s Creation.
3. Humans: The highlight of God’s Creation.
4. The Role of Christ in Creation.
Harmony
Genesis 1:31 – “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.”
At the beginning, Adam and Eve were in perfect harmony with:
- God
- Creation
- Each Other

1. Review the sermon notes with someone and pray that God
might cause you to understand the power of His story of
creation.
2. What is an attribute of God that your wrestle with? Why?
3. What is Christ’s role in creation? (Colossians 1:16-17)
4. What does it mean to be made in the “image” and “likeness” of
God? (Genesis 1:26-27)
5. Man is created to worship and to obey God. What do we tend to
worship today? How does that effect your relationship with
God?

God’s Story: The Fall
Genesis 3
1. Read Genesis 3 with someone.
2. What are some ways that you see disobedience in your life
today? (home, work, school, the world)
3. How was disobedience handled in your home while growing up?
4. What is your biggest “need” in your life now? What is one
struggle you have bringing it up with others?
5. What is one struggle you have sharing with others? Spend some
time in prayer taking these needs of restoration to God.
