~ Self-righteousness - Convinced of one's own righteousness, rights and worthiness.
~ Unbelief - Distrusting God and refusing to follow Him which leads to misplaced trust.

1 Kings 21:1-4 - “…Naboth…had a vineyard…beside the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. Ahab said, ‘Give me your vineyard’...But Naboth said…no…So Ahab went back into his palace resentful and angry…”

Matthew 6:26 - “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
iii.I will trust God for my discipleship needs knowing He wants to make much of His name.
Matthew 7:7 - “Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”

Reviewing this Past Sunday
God Delivers: The Wilderness Test
Exodus 17:1-7
1. What are some ways we receive an education “informally,” or apart from schools and universities?
2. What are some life experiences that teach us things we cannot learn elsewhere?
3. When was the last time you grumbled about a situation in your life?
4. How is grumbling related to a sense of entitlement?
5. Do difficult circumstances cause us to have wrong attitudes and actions or do they merely reveal wrong attitudes and actions? Explain your answer.
6. We all grumble and complain. How does adding the words “against the Lord” after “grumble” or “complain” change our view of this attitude?
7. What impact should an eternal perspective have on our discipleship and proclaiming the gospel?
Philippians 2:14-15 - “Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so, that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world.”
Preparing for Next Sunday
God Delivers: The Redeemer Reveals His Glory
Exodus 32:1-14
1. Read Exodus 32:1-14 and ask the Lord to reveal Himself and His truth.
2. HIGHLIGHT a verse or truth that stands out to you and write it out.
3. EXPLAIN the text in your own words to make sure you see the big picture of God’s Story.(Who wrote it and why? To whom it was written? What is the context? How does the text point to the Father, Son or Spirit? What is the text telling us about our new identity as believers in Christ or how we are to live?)
4. APPLY a truth from the text to your own life. (Focus on what God is saying to you and what is your response of obedience, confession, prayer, praise, giving thanks, etc.)
5. RESPOND in prayer and go apply what God reveals to you from the Scriptures.
