The Bible’s Message:

1. Creation

Lawrence Krauss: “You are stardust. You couldn't be here if stars hadn't exploded… The (elements) were created in stars. So, forget Jesus. Stars died so you can live."

Colossians 1:16 - “…All things were created through Him and for Him.”

2. Rebellion

3. Rescue

Jesus lived the life I should have lived, died the death I should have died and rose again so I could have His supernatural life in me.

4. Restoration

Five Guarantees of the Resurrection Life:

I. I can know my sins are forgiven.

1 Corinthians 15:1-3

II. I can know I have the risen Lord Jesus with me at all times.

1 Corinthians 15:4-10

III. I can know heaven is my home.

1 Corinthians 15:17-19

IV. I can overcome tough times and temptation.

1 Corinthians 15:20-22

V. I can live out my God-given purpose.

1 Corinthians 15:49, 58

1 Corinthians 15:49 - “Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shallalso bear the image of the man of heaven.” 

1 Corinthians 15:58 - “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

 Discussion Questions for the Week

1. How did you come to believe in the resurrection of Jesus and what changes have taken place in you? If you do not believe, what keeps you from believing?

2. How should the future resurrection frame how we think, feel, and act in our daily lives as we head toward eternity?

3. Read the following and use the scriptures to pray as He leads. Isaiah 26:19, Ezekiel 37:12, John 11:25-26, Philippians 3:20-21, Romans 8:22-23, 1 John 3:2 and 1 Corinthians 15:24.

4. This week, discuss with your family the Bible’s message of creation, fall, rescue and restoration.

5. Read 1 Corinthians 15:56-57 and celebrate with your family how Christ has given you victory through His resurrection!
