The Promised Land: When Faith Fails

Numbers 13-14

1. When faith fails, we start looking at our strength instead of God’s.   (Numbers 13:1-2, 26-33)

2. When faith fails, we forget God’s past power and His future promise.   (Numbers 14:1-12)

3. When faith fails, we need a faithful representative to plead for us.    (Numbers 14:13-20)

Reviewing This Past Sunday

The Promised Land: When Faith Fails

Numbers 13-14

 1. Read Numbers 13:1-2, 26-33. When have you had a decision requiring faith? What helped or hindered your faith during that time?

2. Read Numbers 14:1-12. When do you find it easiest for your feelings and fears to overwhelm your faith? Where do you typically turn for strength in moments of fear? Why?

3. Share a time when you faced a difficult circumstance in the past and God delivered you.

4. How does reflecting on God’s past work, indwelling of His Spirit and future promises give you strength for current trials?

5. Read Numbers 14:13-20. Moses showed interest in what “the nations” would think if God destroyed the Israelites. How can the church show interest in seeing the glory of God’s forgiveness known among the nations?

Preparing for Next Sunday
