Philippians 2:8 - Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Hebrews 12:2 - …for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  1. Read Luke 15:1-32 &  discuss Sunday’s message with someone.
  2. Which son do you most relate to and why?
  3. If there were a third  brother with characteristics of both sons, what might his life look like?

Tuesday- 10-23-12 -Reflecting on This Past Sunday

  1. Read Luke 15:11-32 again and ask God to reveal truth to you.
  2. What might parents or spouses learn from this passage?
  3. All three parables show God seeking the lost and rejoicing. How might you grow in these areas?      (Psalm 119:36)

 Wednesday – 10-24-12 - Reflecting on this Past Sunday

  1. Read Luke 15:20-24. What do you see here about God?
  2. Are the characteristics difficult for you to accept and if so why?
  3. Read Matt. 3:17 and Prov. 16:7. What do you learn about those who enjoy God’s favor and how might these truths affect your daily life?

 Thursday, 10-25-12 – Preparing for this Upcoming Sunday

  1. Read Luke 16:1-13. What is the main point?
  2. Why was the manager scared in vs. 2-3?
  3. What does vs. 8 say and why is this important to know?
  4. How are we primarily to use money? (vs. 9)
  5. Read vs. 13 and discuss the implications with someone?

 Friday, 10-26-12 – Preparing Ourselves for this Sunday

  1. Read Luke 16:10-11. What does the Lord want us to know?
  2. What is in store for God’s people who are faithful with the money and stuff God gave them? (see Luke 19:17, Rev 2:10 and 20:4)
  3. Pray we would all be faithful in our stewardship.

 Saturday, 10-27-12 – Preparing for tomorrow

  1. Read 1 Chronicles 12:29. What are we to remember and why?
  2. Read Duet 8:13-14 & pray for yourself, others and this country.
