The Value Of A Baby
Luke 1:8-17
I. God says “babies” in the womb are people created in His image.
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27
Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man. Genesis 9:6
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13
II. Life at any stage deserves protection and honor because we are all created in God’s image.
If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life. Exodus 21:22-23
III. Only people can be Filled with the Spirit and babies in the womb can be filled with the Holy Spirit.
IV. What we can do to support babies in the womb and celebrate life
1. Volunteer & give financially to pro-life organizations
2. Assist single pregnant women
3. Contact politicians and vote

“You say A. is white, and B. is black. It is color, then; the lighter, having the right to enslave the darker? Take care. By this rule, you are to be slave to the first man you meet, with a fairer skin than your own. You do not mean color exactly? You mean the whites are intellectually the superiors of the blacks, and, therefore have the right to enslave them? Take care again. 3. Read James 3:9–10. What “truth” do we see here that is applicable to the value of a baby in the womb and our responsibility for honoring that value?

- For those who have been deceived by the lure of abortion, what can be true of them now as they come to know Christ’s healing? (Luke 7:40-48 - especially vs. 47)
